Dear Friends and Colleagues,

I’m happy to announce that our program is coming together nicely for the 2008 NW Coatings Fest. This year’s symposium will be held at the beautiful Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, Washington on May 7th - 9th. Semiahmoo Resort is offering room rates starting at $159. When making a reservation please be sure to mention that you are with the NW Coatings Fest or Pacific NW Societies for Coatings Technology to take advantage of this discounted rate. Reservations can be made at 800-770-7992 or locally at 360-318-2000.

Enclosed you will find the registration form for the 2008 NW Coatings Fest. We are offering once again the option to register online through PayPal. Registration forms are available online at www.pnwsct.org. This year’s NW Coatings Fest will kick off on Wednesday May 7th with our annual golf tournament directed by Patti Moccardine and will be held right on site at Semiahmoo’s beautiful Arnold Palmer designed golf course. (Washington’s #3 public course as rated by Golf Digest).

Come join us after golf for our “Life’s a Beach Seafood Festival” where we will enjoy the flavors from the sea and the scenic beach & waters of Semiahmoo Bay, Drayton Harbor and the Gulf Islands. What a better way to end the dinner and day than a stroll on the beach and the warmth of a bonfire with friends and colleagues.

Mark Brouillard has put together an outstanding lineup of speakers for our technical program this year and will be offering two technical tracks to choose from for the first day and a single track for the second day. Enclosed is a list of speakers for the two day technical program.

Sandy Carlson and Donna Brouillard are hosting the social guest program. On May 8th, enjoy a tour of the Historic Fairhaven District of Old Town Bellingham and a catered lunch at the Old Cruise Terminal followed by a visit to the Red Barn Lavender Farm.

The 2008 NW Coatings Fest will wrap up the week with a fun filled evening on May 9th for our annual banquet. Be sure to stick around for what will be an enjoyable evening.
