Puget Sound Section Scholarship 2010

The PNWSCT, Puget Sound Section annually offers a $1,400.00 scholarship to deserving individuals.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the PNWSCT Scholarship applicants must meet one of the following criteria:

  1. Member in good standing of the PNWSCT Puget Sound Section.
  2. Dependent of member in good standing.


Selection Criteria

The scholarship will be awarded based on the following criteria, in order of importance:

  • PNWSCT member’s volunteer contribution to Society i.e., Committee chairmanship, committee member, Board of Directors, etc. The applicant may also be the son or daughter of a PNWSCT member.
  • Technical goals relating to the coatings and allied manufacturing industries.
  • Academic scholarship in related areas of science.


Application Process

Please write the Committee a letter that consists of:

  • An outline of your experience and educational or career plans relating to the coatings and allied industries.
  • A brief essay explaining how this scholarship will benefit you as an individual and the potential for future benefit to the coatings industry. Please attach a recommendation from a supervisor at work, or an advisor or counselor at school. 

 

Make sure the application letter includes your:

  • NAME
  • COMPANY OR SCHOOL
  • PARENTS’ NAMES (IF APPLICABLE)
  • COMPANY OR HOME ADDRESS
  • TELEPHONE
  • YEARS OF MEMBERSHIP IN THE PNWSCT (IF APPLICABLE)


The deadline for letters of application is December 31, 2009.
