Portland Section Scholarship 2010

The Portland Section’s Scholarship Committee has decided to award a scholarship to one of its members or its member companies. The scholarship will go toward furthering the education of the recipient and/or their company. The following criteria will be used during the selection process:

Eligibility

  1. Members of the Portland Section of the PNWSCT.
  2. Employees of member company's in the Portland Section of the PNWSCT.
  3. Dependents of members of the Portland Section of the PNWSCT.

 

Selection Criteria

  • Attendance at the monthly meetings.
  • Contributions of time and effort to the PNWSCT (i.e.. Board positions, committees, or other areas service)
  • Future plans for contributing to the PNWSCT.

 

Application process

Write a brief note on what your plans are for the scholarship along with a brief educational and professional resume, and a short recommendation by your current supervisor. Please include a short essay on how this education or seminar will help you as an individual and how it will benefit your company. Be sure to include the following:

  • Name
  • Company
  • Company address and phone
  • Position/Job Title
  • Years of membership in the PNWSCT
