2010 Guest Program "The Grape Escape"

The Grape Escape

Prepare yourself for a delightful escape to Oregon’s beautiful wine country and taste world class wines. You can sit back and relax while a local wine aficionado, from Grape Escape, leads you through the gorgeous Oregon countryside climaxing with a visit to some wonderful boutique and estate wineries.

We will start our day at one of Portland’s infamous coffee houses, Stumptown. Here we will experience a private “cupping” similar to a wine tasting.  After getting properly buzzed and sneaking out a homemade pastry for the trip we will be off to experience one of our first wineries located in the Willamette Valley, home of some of the best Pinot Noir. Since wine is best paired with food we will complement the tour with wonderful cuisine made just for Oregon wine at a local winery.

After filling our bellies with food and spirits it’s off to a different sort of tour, a Sake tasting. This tour to SakeOne will give you an inside look at how Sake is made and dispel any myths of this age old beverage. You may also get a chance to try a Saketini, a mixture of sake with fruit juice, herbs and spirits, Sakeone’s special recipe.

On our way back to Portland you can relax and enjoy the orchard views of wine country and savor your memories spent with friends in the Vineyards of Oregon.
