2010 Northwest Coatings Fest International Competition

International Competition

The International Competition will change focus a little this year. It is still a competition between our three fabulous sections. It will still ask for the best each section has to offer for a variety of challenges. The challenges may be Mental, Emotional or Physical. As everyone that has participated in or observed of these competitions it is not about the activities it’s about the bragging rights.

To add to the challenges, the Portland section has challenged the British Columbia and Puget Sound sections to a pre-event build-up. The build-up is two fold. First is to raise a minimum of $500 dollars. The section receives one point per $100 up to 5 points. More money is good because part two is each section is to pick out a charity of their choice.

The sections will bring their money to the International Competition. The points will be awarded and then the competition will begin. A point system will be determined for the games, by Portland (Hey, someone has to). The winner, by total points, takes it all and gives the pot to their charity.

Mr. Nick Motto of Dowd and Guild has taken up the gauntlet to create a fair competition and Mr. Ken Wenzel is Portland’s keeper of the kitty.

Portland has picked NW Medicals Teams as its charity. Games on BC and Seattle!!
